We are a working yard and open to the public please feel free to visit us and get a feel for the products you are purchasing - and gain valuable advice on which product is right for you.
All our logs and kindling are seasoned (air dried) for a minimum of 12 months some logs may take longer and need seasoning for up to 3 to 4 years. We pride ourselves that our logs are mixed hard wood and are dry and seasoned; burning wet and unseasoned logs is less efficient.
We only use timber such as ash, oak, beech, wild cheery, hornbeam etc. for our logs and soft woods such as pine and popular for kindling.
When logs are cut and ready for sale it is stored under cover, it is recommended that all logs are stored undercover out side your home bringing in the required amount for buring 1 or 2 days before you are due to burn them for maximum efficiency.
Logs are cut to approximately 3 to 4 cm thick and 8 inch long, but can be cut to specific requirements please contact us for further info.
Kiln tried timbers for kindling is cut to half inch thick and 8 inch long.

Logs and kindling are sold by volume not weight as wet and unseasoned wood weigh heavier also the different types of timer are denser than others and retain more water than others i.e: oak is very dense and Ash has little water content even when green. Difference volume sizes can be seen on our products page.
Where possible we reuse bags so having less impact on the environment, having bulk loose loads delivered means less need for bags.
Coal bags are sealed.

We open all year round.

Please consider the environment when ordering our products. The more purchased the more cost effective the products become, so take time when ordering, work out your individual delivered price if you up your quantities, minimum order quantities are a guide and only reflect the minimum amount we would bring not the maximum we can. That way not only are we helping the environment by burning woodfuels we are further reducing our "carbon footprint" with less time spent on our already conjested roads We may too ask you to select an alternative delivery day to help us block deliveries in to a region and please consider that heading south on the M6 on a Friday afternoon is extremely time consuming as we are all well aware.
